From today until 22 July, Steam is offering massive bargains for its annual Summer Sale.

There are three types of sales: daily, flash and community choice. The daily sales will run for 24 hours each, while the flash sales refresh every eight hours. The community choice sales also refresh every eight hours, but visitors to the site can vote on a choice of three games for the next; at the time of writing, the options are Dishonored, Borderlands 2 and Far Cry 3.

To kick off the sale, the daily deal is offering some of the hottest games of recent months for 48 hours:

In the current flash sale, you can pick up Dragon Age: Origins for US$14.99, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for US$5.09, Skyrim: Legendary Edition for US$29.99 and Grid 2 for US$29.99.

Head on over to the Steam homepage to check it out. Remember, if there's a game you have been particularly wanting to buy, wait until the end of the sale to see if it turns up.
