Microsoft's next Xbox console has been tipped to get an exciting exclusive title, from the folks behind the Call of Duty franchise.
The upcoming title will not find a home on a Sony or Nintendo console, Kotaku reports, citing two unrelated sources 'familiar with the game'. It's tipped to be in development at Respawn Entertainment, the studio set up by game developers Vince Zampella and Jason West after Activision booted them out of Call of Duty studio Infinity Ward.
Little is known about the game, but it's thought to be an online multiplayer shooter, and involve 'Titans', giant mech-suit affairs that gamers will pilot, battling foot soldiers.
Gamers taking control of those ground troops will have the weapons necessary to take down the muscular Titan walkers, the anonymous source reportedly described. In short, imagine a sci-fi shooter with lots of explosions, that -- if rumours pan out -- will require a constant Internet connection.
Alright, it doesn't sound like the most original concept ever to grace a developer's drawing board, but with proven talent behind it, this mythical title could turn out to be something rather special, and -- if it really is an Xbox exclusive -- could be a big selling point for Microsoft's new console.
