A new trailer for Arkane Studios' Dishonored 2 has been released. It features Corvo Attano, one of the two playable characters in the game, getting revenge on a character. If you want to go into the sequel completely fresh, you may want to skip this one as it reveals a key plot point. This will also be discussed in the next paragraph.

The poor soul Corvo is hunting is Delilah, who is the "otherworldly usurper" that has stolen the throne from his daughter Emily Kaldwin. For those that need a refresher, in the canonical ending for the first Dishonored, Corvo saves Emily from Daud and she is crowned Empress of Dunwall. That is until the start of Dishonored 2.

Also featured in the trailer is The Outsider, the mysterious figure that is gave Corvo his powers in the first game and, based on his appearance, is clearly up to his old tricks again. Watch the trailer below.

Dishonored 2 launches on November 11 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Everyone who preorders Dishonored 2 will get a free copy of Dishonored Definitive Edition.

At the start of the sequel, following an inciting incident, players can pick between Corvo or Emily to play through the entire game. Each will have very different abilities and the story is somewhat re-contextualized based on the pick.

We recently had a chance to sit down with Dishonored 2's creative director, Harvey Smith, and talk about the new features coming to the game. You can read our full interview here, where Smith discusses the differences between Corvo and Emily and how their assassin abilities will work.
