Do you need a break from the pandemic, PS5 shortages, political drama and catastrophic weather events? How about slipping back into the 16th century for a little old-fashioned stealth and assassination? Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China is a spinoff that luxuriates in gorgeous, watercolor-style visuals, and usually sells for $15. Well, from now through Feb. 15, you can get Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China for free from Ubisoft.

To be clear, the game is completely free and yours to keep forever, but the deal will only stick around till Monday, so don't procrastinate. Like the weekly free games from Epic, this one is free with a click, and you don't need to install the game right now if you don't want to. It'll be waiting for you in your Ubisoft account when you're ready to play it.

In this iteration of Assassin's Creed, you play the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood, returning to your homeland with a vendetta. Newly trained by the legendary Ezio Auditore, you're intent on exacting vengeance and restoring the fallen Brotherhood. The game leans hard into stealth and greatly rewards avoiding detection through diversion, stealth and disguises. Want to know more?
