XCAR Awards 2013: Best Drive, Drew
It's hard to pick a favourite out of all of the cars that we have been allowed to drive here at XCAR. There has been such a wide variety that even to judge them against each other seems crazy. Here, however, are the few I've shortlisted as my top drives so far.

Audi make great cars, but the R8 V10 Plus is a cut above almost everything else they make. The insane speed this car can do shocks you almost as much as the speed the four-wheel drive lets you carry through turns. Add to that killer good looks and you have one hell of a package.
The sand dunes and mountain passes of Morocco aren't somewhere you'd usually find yourself, but taking a new Range Rover for a spin there was something I enjoyed immensely. The new MK IV can handle pretty much anything and we tried as hard as we could to disprove that fact.
Any time you get your hands on a hypercar, you know that you are extremely unlikely to be disappointed, and the brief go I had in the Pagani Huayra could not have thrilled me more.
Ferraris are built to be noticed, and you cannot help but let the vanity take charge when driving on public roads in a 458 Italia. Borrow the keys and be a celebrity for the day.
The winner for me, however, is the BAC Mono. Looking more like a spaceship than a road legal vehicle, the Mono pushes you as a driver to get better and better whilst giving you access to some incredible raw power. The single seat cockpit makes even the most mundane of roads feel like the home straight.
