Watch this 1,800-whp Lamborghini Huracan break an 8-second quarter mile

Who needs a warranty when you have a twin-turbocharged behemoth that most human beings are incapable of controlling?

Cars are Andrew's jam, as is strawberry. After spending years as a regular ol' car fanatic, he started working his way through the echelons of the automotive industry, starting out as social-media director of a small European-focused garage outside of Chicago. From there, he moved to the editorial side, penning several written features in Total 911 Magazine before becoming a full-time auto writer, first for a local Chicago outlet and then for CNET Cars.

If you think that supercars come from the factory with the most power possible, think again. Companies the world over have tweaked these six-figure monsters to produce insane power figures, and Underground Racing's twin-turbocharged Lamborghini Huracan just proved what a little bit of massaging can accomplish.

Thanks to a whole host of upgrades, including the aforementioned twin-turbocharger system, Underground Racing's Huracan project puts out a pavement-pounding 1,800 horsepower to all four wheels. That's enough to send this car through a quarter mile in just 7.8 seconds. UGR is a company specializing in insanity. Its twin-turbocharged Lamborghinis regularly demolish records, and while it's not a cheap setup, it certainly gets the job done.

As you can see in the video below, it's a bit of a handful to control.
