April 26, 2012, Tokyo, Japan - A businessman walks past the Mitsubishi Motors Corp headquarters. Japan's Mitsubishi Motors posted a 53% net profit increase for fiscal year to March which is partly due to the company's cost cutting plan. As Japan's fourth-largest automaker, the company earned 23.9 billion Japanese yen ($294 million) in the past year, which is up from 15.6 billion Japanese yen in the previous period.
