Quick Take: The Westinghouse LVM-42w2 is a 42-inch 1080p flat-panel LCD HDTV. It has a native resolution of 1,920x1,080 pixels, a.k.a. 1080p, which means it should be able to display every detail of 1080i and 1080p HDTV sources. We do not intend to review this model, so we cannot comment on its performance. We have reviewed Westinghouse LCDs in the past, such as the LVM-37W1 and the LTV-40W1HDC, but we can't say that the LVM-42w2 will offer similar performance. In terms of features, the LVM-42w2 has a solid jack pack, highlighted by one HDMI input, two DVI inputs, one VGA-style PC input, and two component inputs. It lacks both an integrated HDTV tuner and a CableCard slot, so you'll need an external box to receive over-the-air HDTV or digital cable.
