Vizio's MT11X-A1 tablet PC is a big release -- literally. The 11.6-incher, weighing in at 1.7 pounds, is one of the largest tablets on the market and sells for $599 list price.

This big boy runs Windows 8 on a 1,920x1080 full HD LED screen and, although it's one of the biggest, it's not one of the fastest. The MT11X-A1 houses a low-power AMD Z60 CPU and AMD Radeon HD 6250 GPU as well as 2GB of RAM and a 64GB SSD.

The tablet PC features dual speakers, and for the selfie-inclined, there's a front-facing 2-megapixel camera. Ports on the tablet include a headphone jack, Mini-HDMI, and microUSB. The plus-size device is billed as light and portable, but it's hard for me to visualize anyone lugging around an 11.6-inch tablet for portability's sake.

Although Vizio's behemoth has a becoming sleek and thin profile, like true beauty, it's what's on the inside that counts. In a competitive market that includes tablets with more impressive specs for less, the MT11X-A1's hefty $599 price tag lowers its mass appeal.
