Looking for sporty wireless headphones that can keep playing music even if you leave your smartphone behind? Sony's got you covered.

The Walkman NWZ-WS613 is an update to Sony's earlier NWZ-W273S/NWZ-W274S "MP3 player in a headphone" product, now with two notable upgrades: it's got on-board Bluetooth, and it includes a finger-mounted remote for controlling it without touching your head. It's coming in October for $160. While UK availability and pricing wasn't immediately disclosed, that translates to about £98. For Australia, the price will be AU$199.

Indeed, the WS613 can do double duty, both as wireless headphones for your smartphone (it has a microphone for calls, too), and -- if you want to ditch the headphone for a run or the gym -- as a standalone MP3 player (it can hold 4GB of music). The wraparound NWZ-WS613 is waterproof, so it should be perfect for sweaty workouts.

Sweetening the deal is the wireless "ring-type remote commander," which lets you access basic controls (volume, music transport) from your hand, instead of reaching up to the controls on the headphone itself. Sony suggests wearing on the index finger, and controlling with your thumb.
