Nikon Coolpix P2

Nikon Coolpix P2

Quick Take: The new Nikon Coolpix P series adds Wi-Fi capabilities to the standard point-and-shoot digital-camera formula. The Wi-Fi feature has a great deal of potential, but so far Nikon is planning only to enable local image transfer over wireless connections, as well as wireless PictBridge printing (with an optional printer adapter); complex tasks such as using Wi-Fi to upload Internet photo services are not yet planned for the P series. The Nikon Coolpix P2 is the little brother to the Coolpix P1, with a 5-megapixel CCD to the P1's 8-megapixel CCD, and a scant 16MB of internal storage to the slightly less scant 32MB of internal storage in the P1. Both cameras have the same 3.5X Nikkor zoom lens and 2.5-inch LCD.
