The Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 Plus should prove a lot easier to wield than it is to say. It is, as the name implies, a wireless keyboard. But there's also a trackpad built right in -- couple that with dedicated media shortcut keys, and you've got a compact tool that'll fit right into your living room's media center. And at $40, £35 and AU$69.95.

The K400 Plus is an inch thick (2.5cm) and weighs just shy of a pound (390 grams) with a pair of AA batteries packed in. Logitech claims you'll see about 18 months of battery life. The K400 Plus connects to your PC by way of Logitech's tiny Unifying receiver, so you can connect up to six compatible wireless Logitech peripherals, and expect a range of about 33 feet or 10 meters. It's also available in white, if you're looking to match your decor.

You'll be able to use the keyboard with a Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10 computer, an Android 5.0 Lollipop device, and a Chrome OS device, provided they all have a USB port. Support for Macs isn't listed, but in my experience Logitech's gear works well enough on OS X -- just don't expect full support for all of the shortcut keys. The K400 Plus will also obviously work with a desktop or all-in-one PC if you don't have a living room setup, but this keyboard would be a perfect fit for a gadget like the Intel Compute Stick I checked out a few weeks ago.

The K400 Plus will be available in the US in June, and worldwide in July. You can preorder it now on Logitech's site.
