Edifier, which has made a few funky-looking media speaker systems over the years, has now added another aesthetically interesting unit to its lineup: the Prisma, a 2.1 Bluetooth speaker system that just hit the market for $129.99.

Aside from the design, Edifier is highlighting the fact that the Prisma has a 48-watt power rating and its wired remote control is equipped with two auxiliary input ports, plus a headphone jack.

Here's the features breakdown:

  • Stream audio from Bluetooth-enabled devices from up to 10m/30ft.
  • Wired remote controller incorporates headphone out and auxiliary input ports. Additional auxiliary input located on subwoofer.
  • Separate bass adjustment control located on the subwoofer.
  • RMS power output of 48 watts via 5-inch downward-firing subwoofer, 2 3/4 inch midrange, 19mm PV dome tweeter, all magnetically shielded.

The Prisma Bluetooth comes in white, black, and silver and is currently available on Edifier's Web site. Alas, it it doesn't appear to support the aptX codec, but otherwise looks pretty good on paper. If and when we get a review sample, we'll give you the full skinny on how it sounds.
