LAS VEGAS--Asus announced another addition to its Windows 8 tablet lineup. The 10-inch LED-backlit VivoTab Smart houses an Intel Atom Z2760 dual-core processor and sports a 1,366x768-pixel IPS display.
The Windows 8 tablet features 5-point multitouch technology and ships with the "TranSleeve" keyboard, which is technically an all-in-one cover, keyboard, and stand.
The VivoTab Smart also sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, a five-element lens, and full 1080p HD video recording and a front-facing 2-megapixel camera. It also has a built-in NFC sensor and, according to Asus, a 9.5-hour battery life.
The VivoTab Smart looks to be a simplified version of the Asus VivoTab RT. Asus has not announced pricing, availability, and other details, so check CNET for any updates and announcements on the VivoTab Smart.
