Transformer Book T100HA will launch in four colours and delivers great new features to this clever little package from Asus. Asus

TAIPEI -- Asus revealed its new Transformer Book T100HA hybrid laptop here at Computex today, upgrading its successful 10.1-inch two-in-one with a USB 3.1 Type-C port, an Intel Atom "Cherry Trail" X5 series processor and 4GB RAM. It's set to launch running Windows 10.

The super-slim 8.45mm notebook, which weighs just 580 grams, offers detachable tablet versatility and the latest update pushes battery life up to an impressive 14 hours. The new T100HA will be available in a range of four metallic finish colours -- silk white, tin grey, aqua blue and rouge pink.

The screen resolution is also a step up from the previous T100, coming in at 1,280x800 pixels. That might still feel low to some, but given the 10.1-inch screen size it doesn't look too bad in the flesh.

Pricing has yet to be revealed, but the existing Transformer Book T100 costs under $400 and was dubbed in our review a " Chromebook killer for a lot of people ". With the extra styling and updated specs this is definitely a convertible to watch.

The Asus Transformer Book T100HA will be available in the third quarter of 2015.
