In addition to announcing its new One Touch Hero 2 and Hero 8 devices at IFA 2014, French mobile company Alcatel also unveiled a slew of midtier devices that are all part of what it calls the Pop 2 family.

The series includes both Android and Windows Phone handsets in four different display sizes: 4-inch, 4.5-inch, 5-inch, and 5.5-inch. These phones come in five colors (yellow, red, blue, green, and purple), and are 4G LTE-enabled. They're also powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor.

The biggest member of the family is the Pop 8S tablet. Equipped with an 8-inch display, the device measures 0.31 inches thin (7.9mm) and weighs 10.89 ounces (309 grams). Its rear-facing camera varies, however, from region to region. In Europe, the Pop 8S will have an 8-megapixel shooter, while Latin America and the US will receive a 3-megapixel camera.

Alcatel has yet to release pricing and release date information, but we'll update this piece as soon as we know more. And be sure to check out IFA 2014 for all the new devices coming out of the Berlin tech show.
