Steadfast knower of nothing Jon Snow is a fan favorite on HBO's hit fantasy series "Game of Thrones." Or he was, anyway. Lord Commander Snow of the Night's Watch was brutally cut down by his brothers in the Watch and left for dead at the end of Season 5.

One of Snow's fans -- a YouTube filmmaker by the name of Emri -- put together a fitting tribute, telling the complete tale of the 998th lord commander, from his origins teaching Bran how to fine-tune his archery skills right up to his grisly betrayal.

The clip perfectly captures the rise and fall of Snow, who tried to unite the Night's Watch and the Wildlings together with the hope of defeating the oncoming storm that is the White Walkers and the Army of the Dead.

It ends with words uttered by Samwell Tarly: "I've been worrying about Jon for years. He always comes back." These are words many "Game of Thrones" fans -- including Mr. President, Barack Obama, himself -- hope ring truer than ever in Season 6, with Snow somehow escaping what seems to have been a certain death at the hands of the men he once led.

Kit Harrington, who plays Snow in the series, has suspiciously been spotted in Belfast, where many scenes from "Game of Thrones" are filmed. Could this be a sign that Obama and the rest of the world's hopes will be realized as Snow triumphantly returns to Westeros next season?

We'll find out when Season 6 premieres on HBO, which is expected to happen in the spring of 2016.
