Uncharted 4's second day-one update revealed
The small patch offers some "general fixes and improvements."
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End comes out May 10, and it's now been confirmed that you will need to download not only a 5GB 1.01 patch, but also a smaller 1.02 update before you can get started.
DualShockers reports that the 1.02 update was made available today on the PSN for people who already have the game. Its patch notes don't offer much in the way of specifics, however, saying only that the update will add "general fixes and improvements." The update is only around 140MB.
As for the 5GB 1.01 update, this adds Photo Mode, Weapon Selector, and Encounter Select, among other things. You can see the full patch notes here.
Uncharted 4 launches on May 10 exclusively for PlayStation 4. It is the last game in the series Naughty Dog plans to make and the final one that stars Nathan Drake. However, there could be an Uncharted 5.
GameSpot scored Uncharted 4 a 10/10.
"In its writing, in its design, in its understanding of what makes games unique, Uncharted 4 is something to aspire to," critic Mike Mahardy said. "It's a shining example. And we'll be talking about it for years to come."

In other news, co-director Bruce Straley has advised against rushing through Uncharted 4. "Take your time. Its not like the last three. Don't try to gobble it down in one sitting. Settle in. Enjoy the moment," he said.
Additionally, a technical analysis of the game concluded it is a "must-play experience that delivers the rare mix of pitch perfect gameplay and high-end visuals."
