Potatoes are headed to a TBell near you once again.
Taco BellBeyond Meat is coming to Taco Bell. In an effort to bolster its vegetarian options, the fast food chain said it will partner with the maker of plant-based protein on "an innovative new plant-based protein that will be tested in the next year."

As part of the announcement Thursday, Taco Bell CEO Mark King also said potatoes will return to the menu on March 11. King shared that news using the Snapchat filter that turns you into a talking potato. The chain had removed potatoes to simplify its menu and focus on its drive-thrus when the coronavirus pandemic hit. But Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes and the Spicy Potato Soft Taco will soon be back.
Taco Bell isn't the first fast food chain to embrace plant-based protein. Burger King serves the Impossible Whopper from Impossible Foods. In November, McDonald's said it would test its own meatless burger, created in house.
