Trials on Tatooine will arrive on Steam on Monday. Star Wars fans can also look forward to a future story-based VR project focused on Darth Vader.

Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine, a lightsaber virtual-reality experiment we checked out in March, is coming to the Steam VR platform as a free download, said ILMxLab, Lucasfilm's immersive-entertainment division.
During a panel discussion Saturday at Star Wars Celebration Europe, ILMxLab also said it's working on a future Star Wars VR experience that will focus on everyone's favorite Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. Details are sparse, but screenwriter David Goyer (who's previously worked on "Batman Begins" and "Man of Steel") is joining the project.
Goyer said in a blog post on the Star Wars website that the longtime villain would make the perfect "ambassador" for Star Wars' VR universe.
"When we looked at all the characters, places and worlds in the Star Wars universe available to us, we asked ourselves, 'What haven't we seen before? Who are we curious about?" Goyer said.
These two titles will join a Star Wars: Battlefront VR experience coming to the PlayStation VR headset.
