"Squad member active!" It's just a typical line from Call of Duty: Ghosts, but it takes on a whole new feel when Snoop Dogg says it. If that sounds like an amazing addition to your multiplayer gameplay, then mark your calender for April 22. That's when the Snoop Dog Voice Pack is set to debut on Xbox Live.

Snoop will talk you through your adventures, from killstreaks to enemy activity. You might consider swapping out your usual Jolt for some gin and juice, though. The DLC will cost $2.99, a pittance compared with the joy it will bring you.

A preview video shows Snoop Dog in the recording studio laying down lines like "You got that Spitfire drone now" and "Rack up points by reaching the enemy portal, you dig?" The correct answer to that is, "Yes, Snoop Dogg sir, I dig."

If you prefer a more militaristic flair for your game, you can drop $2.99 for the drill instructor R. Lee Ermey (famous for his memorably tough role in "Full Metal Jacket") voice pack instead. You may feel compelled to drop and give him 20 push-ups.

So, will Snoop Dogg's laid-back style translate to the tense moments of battling your foes behind enemy lines? I expect the contrast will actually help calm you, even in the edgiest firefight. It's like when I bought the Dennis Hopper voice for my GPS. There's something about having a celebrity guide you through the stressful moments in life that really soothes the nerves.
