Pagani Huayra video has us in a spin
What's that? You've seen pictures of the Pagani Huayra but you're secretly lusting after some sexy video footage? Today's your lucky day, chums.
We're deeply in love with the Pagani Huayra. We brought you official pictures when it was first announced, made a pilgrimage to see it for ourselves during the 2011 Geneva Motor Show and today we're busting out some video footage of it spinning seductively on a motorised platform. Yeah, we've got it bad.
Hit the play button and check out those quad exhausts at the rear, which look as though they're an integral part of the car's roof rather than a part of its underside. While you're at it, marvel at the rear light clusters, which have the same teardrop shape as the sex-on-a-stalk wing mirrors. Then have a peep at the engine and luggage compartment covers, which are secured not by latches, but by bespoke hand-stitched leather belts.
The Huayra is also blessed with one of the most beautiful interiors we've seen in any car. The whole dashboard was hewn from one solid block of aluminium -- like a MacBook Pro -- while the remainder of the cockpit has a retro steampunk aesthetic with plenty of polished knobs, gleaming levers and what is, hands down, the most beautiful gearstick known to man.
It's no show pony. The Huayra packs a hugemongous 6-litre twin turbocharged V12 engine, pumping out 690bhp and 1,000Nm of torque. It'll do 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds and carry on until it hits 230mph. Or a wall.
The latter is unlikely to happen, since the Huayra's cornering ability is aided by a set of four individually moveable flaps -- two on the bonnet up front and two on the engine cover at the rear. These adjust like the ailerons on a plane, protruding to ever-more conspicuous angles to provide better downforce during corners.
