Lego has released a new animated short called the "Micro Battle of Hoth," which features minifigs from the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance squaring off on the desolate, snowy planet of Hoth.

The short has some pretty funny parts, like when the Snowspeeder and AT-AT accidentally pass each other on their way to battle, or when the Vulture and Spider Droids manage to team up and "trip" the Snowspeeder, sending it flying over the icy cliff. And, of course, there's a wampa eating what looks like a tauntaun leg as he watches the chaos unfold.

The clip is intended to promote the upcoming "Star Wars" Lego sets announced in February. There are 32 new sets in total, featuring characters and scenes from the original trilogy, the sequels and even the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed video game series.

In all, it's a fun way to promote Lego's upcoming "Star Wars" themed sets, which are expected to launch sometime in 2015.
