PlayStation Plus is Sony's subscription service for the PS3 and PS Vita, giving users access to an "instant game collection", as well as additional games each month, all for a payment of AU$69.95 for 12 months or AU$19.95 for three months. Other incentives include 2GB of online storage for save games (1GB for PS3 and 1GB for PS Vita), as well as early access to betas and more.

If you've been wavering on whether to subscribe, Sony has an Easter surprise that it hopes might bring you on board. Until 11 April, Sony will add an extra 90 days to new PlayStation Plus subscribers; basically an AU$20 saving on the usual cost.

If you're an existing user, however, you'll need to buy another one-year subscription to take advantage of the offer — essentially adding another 15 months to your contract.

Sony also announced some of the games in this month's line-up for PlayStation Plus subscribers, which will include Okami HD and The Cave from Double Fine.
