Nothing beats sitting around the table with friends or family and playing your favorite board game. Nobody around? Grab the computer version and play solo, or even engage with strangers around the world.

Yep, turns out some of the all-time great board games are available for Windows (and in some cases Linux and Mac as well). And today you can score a six pack of them on the cheap.

The Humble Tabletop Bundle gives you six PC board games for $7. You can pay less (as little as $1) to get three games, but trust me when I say you'll want the full bundle.

For about the price of a sandwich, you get the following:

  • 100% Orange Juice
  • Catan: Creator's Edition
  • Magnifico
  • Small World 2
  • Talisman Digital Edition
  • Ticket to Ride: Complete Pack

I'm not familiar with all of these, but I can tell you that Catan and Ticket to Ride are amaze-balls. Indeed, I'd say the latter is worth the price of admission all by itself -- and it would cost you about $25 for the game and all four DLC add-ons (which are included here) if purchased separately. You can play it solo or online -- and trust me again when I say nothing beats beating a human competitor.

Catan? Another home-run (perhaps better known as Settlers of Catan), here bundled with two expansion packs. The other titles all have anywhere from "positive" to "very positive" ratings on Steam -- which, incidentally, is where you'll redeem them.

As with all Humble bundles, this one lets you siphon some of the proceeds to charity. And you can certainly pay more than $7 if you're feeling extra charitable.

Seriously, this is a great collection, especially for the price. Highly recommended.

Bonus deal: The original Pebble smartwatch is still arguably the best product in its class, offering cross-platform compatibility, solid battery life and loads of cool apps and watch faces. For a limited time, you can get a Pebble for $89 -- not the lowest price I've seen, but lower than the $99 regular price. It's available in black, white or red, and I have to admit the white one is the snazziest (or at least, the least geeky) of the three.
