The Battlefield 1 beta, which wrapped up a week ago today, attracted more than 13 million players to become the biggest beta in the history of Electronic Arts. The beta ran August 30 through September 8.

In all, 13.2 million people played the beta, EA announced today in a blog post. The beta for EA's Star Wars Battlefront was the previous record-holder, with more than 9 million players.

EA also released an infographic that contains some huge numbers pertaining to beta achievements. For example, there were 62.2 million horseback kills, while 13.8 million people got run down by cars. Additionally, Assault was the most popular class (30 percent), followed by Scout at 28 percent. You can see more stats in the full infographic, which is posted below.

Senior producer Aleks Grondal thanked fans for the feedback they provided by participating in the beta. He said the team at Dice is now poring over the data and will adjust the game accordingly. For example, the Light Tank performed "a little too well," he said, suggesting a nerf is forthcoming.

"I want to personally thank you all for the great feedback you've given us," he said. "We're trawling through forum posts, social media mentions, and digging into some great data. We're identifying what worked well, and what didn't work as well. We truly value your input. In the near future, we'll have more details on the changes we'll be making to the full version of the game."
