As an audience expert, she rarely writes but when she does it's most certainly about Star Trek, Marvel, DC, Westworld, San Diego Comic-Con and great streaming properties. Or soccer, that's a thing she loves, too.

Good news or bad news ? Either way, "Aquaman" is now deep in 2018 territory with a newly announced release date of October 5.

The King of the Seven Seas was first seen briefly in "Batman v. Superman" and is expected to have a larger part in "Justice League" when it's released November 2017 as the next movie in DC's Extended Universe.

Starring Jason Momoa ("Game of Thrones"), the film will be directed by James Wan and was originally slated to bow July 27, 2018. Production on "Justice League" wrapped earlier this fall, and gave us our first look at Amber Heard as Mera, the one-day queen of Atlantis.
