Golden Globes 2023: The Full List of Award Winners, From 'Abbott Elementary' to 'The White Lotus'
Check out all the winners, including Michelle Yeoh, Eddie Murphy, Steven Spielberg, The Banshees of Inisherin and House of the Dragon.
The Golden Globes returned to air this year to celebrate the best in TV and film. It wasn't the smoothest comeback, as the show overshot its end time by a fair chunk while attempting to brush over last year's scandal over the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's lack of diversity. The show on Tuesday did at least deliver some hilarious moments -- and some nervous laughter as host Jerrod Carmichael roasted both the HFPA's diversity scandal and Tom Cruise's Scientology scandals.
Aside from veteran winners like Eddie Murphy, a swath of first-time winners took home acting awards. Michelle Yeoh, Austin Butler, Ke Huy Quan, Quinta Brunson, Jeremy Allen White, Amanda Seyfried, Zendaya, Evan Peters, Paul Walter Hauser and Tyler James Williams got to celebrate first wins. Veteran comic actor Jennifer Coolidge also won for the first time with a hilarious and heartfelt speech.
Steven Spielberg's semi-autobiographical coming-of-age drama The Fabelmans took best drama picture, beating psychological drama Tár, starring Cate Blanchett. Best musical or comedy picture went to The Banshees of Inisherin, which beat out Everything Everywhere All at Once and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
House of the Dragon surprised with a best drama series win, beating Better Call Saul and Severance. Abbott Elementary had a successful night, taking best comedy or musical series over Hacks and Only Murders in the Building. Unsurprisingly, best limited or anthology series went to excellent The White Lotus: Sicily.
