Phoebe Waller-Bridge will go adventuring with Harrison Ford in the fifth Indiana Jones movie, and the legendary John Williams will compose the score, Lucasfilm revealed Friday. Disney, which owns Lucasfilm, previously confirmed Harrison Ford's return for the final Indy movie.
James Mangold (Logan and Ford vs Ferrari) will direct the movie. Shooting kicks off this spring, and the movie is set to hit theaters on July 29, 2022.
Waller-Bridge is best known for her roles as creator, head writer and star of Fleabag, which won three Emmys. But her Indy work won't be her first Lucasfilm outing. She played quirky droid L3-37 in the 2018 Star Wars spinoff Solo. Williams scored the previous four Indy adventures.
"When you add Phoebe, a dazzling actor, brilliant creative voice and the chemistry she will undoubtedly bring to our set, I can't help but feel as lucky as Indiana Jones himself," Mangold said of the casting.
