Oprah's new interview show is coming to Apple TV starting Nov. 1.

Oprah Winfrey will debut her Oprah's Book Club show on Apple TV Plus on Nov. 1 with an award-winning writer as her first guest. The series will kick off with Ta-Nehisi Coates and his novel The Water Dancer. Each episode of the bi-monthly show will tie in with a selection from her book club on Apple Books.

"Few people in the world can bring us together like Oprah, whose compassion and grace celebrating the power of books are unmatched," Apple CEO Tim Cook said Monday in a press release.

The Water Dancer is Coates' first book of fiction and comes out Tuesday. It's currently available for preorder on Apple Books. With every book purchase, Apple will make a contribution to the American Library Association. Coates' bestseller Between the World and Me won the National Book Award for nonfiction in 2015. He's also a MacArthur Genius award winner. In 2017, Coates got a Hugo Award nomination for his work on Marvel's comic book series Black Panther.

Winfrey will interview Coates in October at the Apple Carnegie Library store in Washington, DC.

The Apple TV Plus streaming service launches Nov. 1 and will cost $4.99 a month. The company said earlier in September that customers who purchase a new iPad, iPhone or Mac will receive a year of the service for free
