Web appliance maker gets $17.5 million

Neoteris announced Monday it raised a $17.5 million third round of funding, led by Battery Ventures. Previous investors Jim Clark, The Barksdale Group and New Enterprise Associates also contributed to the round. Battery will receive a seat on Neoteris' board. Neoteris, based in Mountain View, Calif., has raised a total of $37.5 million. The company develops appliances that provide remote access to a corporation's information from a standard Web browser.
