TeraCloud raises $5.5 million first round

TeraCloud announced Friday that it has raised $5.5 million in a first round of funding. Boulder Ventures Limited led the round along with participation from Northwest Venture Associates. Both firms gain a seat on the company's board of directors. The Bellevue, Wash.-based company was founded in 1991 as Trilogy Software and makes computer data storage software for large business networks. TeraCloud will use the financing to expand its management team and customer base.
