Linux users will be able to use their computers to fill out their tax forms--as long as they're in Germany. Buhl Data Services' Tax2001 software for preparing German tax forms is for sale in a Linux version, another Linux encroachment on Microsoft Windows' dominance of desktop computers.
CodeWeavers, a St. Paul, Minn., company that sells services based on the Wine software package to enable the use of Windows software on Linux computers, helped create the Buhl software.
