ShortTake: HP introduces ScanJet 6100C scanner

Hewlett-Packard introduced the HP ScanJet 6100C Professional, a color/grayscale flatbed scanner expected to sell for about $800. Available in Macintosh- and PC-compatible models, the ScanJet features Intelligent Scanning Technology, an internal image-processing technology said to produce faster scans, smaller file sizes, and less distortion. The scanner comes with Adobe Acrobat 3.0 and the Corel Web Graphics Suite (for Windows only) so that users can easily publish on the Internet or company intranets.
