Short Take: Yahoo to use Cobalt servers for hosting

Yahoo has selected Cobalt Networks' servers for its Web site hosting business, the companies said today. As part of the service, companies can rent servers running Windows NT for $700 a month or Linux or FreeBSD for $650 a month. Sun Microsystems on Tuesday agreed to acquire Cobalt.
