Short Take: Yahoo launches computer area

Net search behemoth Yahoo has launched Yahoo Computers, a resource for Net- and computer-related news, shopping, and information. The area's features include comparison shopping, try-and-buy software, auctions, product reviews, message boards, classified ads, and computer-related books. Partners include bookseller Amazon.com, online computer store NECX, Net auction site Onsale, and media firms ZD Net, Wired, and Reuters.
