VeriFone, a division of Hewlett-Packard has announced two customers for its vPOS merchant payment software.Entertainment Media Services, a unit of Time Warner, and GradAdvantage, a service for students to apply for graduate school, are using vPOS to communicate with their banks. vPOS supports both SSL security and Secure Electronic Transaction 1.0 protocols for credit card payments.
