Short Take: Tripod, Barnes & Noble in e-commerce deal

Net community Tripod and Barnes & Noble have inked an e-commerce deal under which the bookseller will be the community's exclusive book retailer. Tripod's 1.6 million members also can sell books from Barnesandnoble.com on their personal home pages via an affiliate program, through which they also can sell CDs from music retailer CDnow. Barnesandnoble.com also extended its previous agreement with Tripod parent Lycos.
