Softbank Technology Ventures has increased its stake in e-commerce site BuyComp.com with a $40 million investment. Softbank, Buycomp.com's only investor, now holds a 20 percent stake in the company. The Japanese software firm invested $20 million in BuyComp.com in October. Softbank also has significant holdings in Yahoo, GeoCities, Ziff-Davis, E*Trade Group and Kingston Technology.
