Short Take: IBM sets up e-business fund

IBM, its subsidiary Lotus Development and the National Federation of Independent Business today said they have set a fund to support the development and deployment of Lotus Domino-based e-business suites for small and midsize businesses. The e-business Development for Growing Enterprise (eDGE) fund totals $1 million. Independent software vendors can apply for a grant of up to $75,000 each, and in turn use the grant and work with Lotus to help small and midsize companies conduct business on the Internet.
