Fujitsu PC Corporation announced that Chiaki Itoh, 51, has been named chairman and that its president George Everhart, 51, has been promoted to chief executive officer in a move to try to advance the company's growth in North America. Itoh will replace Akio Hanada who recently died. Itoh helped launch Fujitsu's notebook line and helped make it the seventh largest notebook supplier in the U.S. market.
