A marketplace built by Inc2Inc and Ariba for the estimated $425 billion food and beverage manufacturing industry has begun processing transactions. Built on the Ariba B2B Commerce Platform, the marketplace has been in development for the last 12 months. This week, the manufacturing procurement division of food retailer H-E-B Food Stores begins using the marketplace to do transactions with ingredient and packaging suppliers--including brokers, distributors and manufacturers.
