Computer Sciences has announced a local area recruitment campaign to hire and train approximately 2,500 temporary employees to support the year 2000 U.S. Census. CSC, as a subcontractor to TRW, will collect and record census data at a new 224,000-square-foot Data Capture Center in Essex, Maryland, the company said. CSC is part of a TRW team that will operate and manage one of three centers that will support the decennial census. CSC is already working with community-based organizations and programs, such as "welfare-to-work," to find prospective employees.
