Short Take: CMP revenue climbs

Tech publisher CMP Media reported revenue of $109.2 million for the March quarter, up 7 percent from $101.9 million reported last year. Net income was $1.2 million (5 cents a share), compared with a pro forma net loss of $2.3 million (10 cents a share). Results include a gain of 2 cents a share from the sale of an investment, as well as a charge of 9 cents a share that resulted from a workforce reduction and a write-down of some investments.
