Short Take: CMGI takes stake in B2B Net firm

Internet investment firm CMGI has taken a 4.9 percent stake in Divine InterVentures, a business-to-business Internet operating company. Additionally, the companies have entered a partnership for joint services. Under the deal, Chicago-based Divine InterVentures will gain access to CMGI's expertise to help build its clients' business-to-business start-ups. In turn, CMGI will be able to offer start-ups and larger companies in its own network a variety of new business development and sales opportunities in the Midwest.
