Short Take: AOL signs deal with Net mortgage firm

America Online pledges Digital City and Netcenter real estate to online mortgage company iOwn in a multimillion-dollar e-commerce and marketing deal announced today. According to the multiyear contract, San Francisco-based iOwn will be the sole provider of mortgage-related services to AOL's sites. The service will offer consumers a real-estate hub to easily compare rates, shop and apply for mortgages from a variety of top providers.
