The electronic messaging giant rolls out Eudora WorldMail Server 2.0 for Windows NT, the next version of its Internet and intranet messaging server.
Eudora WorldMail Server 2.0 for Windows NT features a group account manager to add, modify, or delete users; distribute lists; and administer user accounts from a Java enabled browser. It also supports LDAP (lightweight directory access protocol), and autoconfiguration for Eudora clients-- version 3.0.5 and later of Eudora Pro and Light for Windows and version 3.1.3 and later of Eudora Pro for Macintosh.
Targeting the messaging server towards small- to medium-sized businesses, Qualcomm has priced the package at $159 for a 10-mailbox system which includes Eudora Light and Eudora Migration Utilities on CD-ROM. For $99, customers can purchase a 10-mailbox add-on pack.
Last week, Qualcomm debuted its Eudora email suite as well as a universal messaging package for Windows, Eudora Pro Email 4.0, and Eudora Pro CommCenter 4.0, for corporate users who require advanced email features, the company said.
