Nyko rolls out PS3 Slim accessories

Sure, we really like the PS3 Slim's brand-new sleek design, but unfortunately some pre-existing PS3 accessories don't play nicely with the console's updated form factor. To fix this, Nyko has revamped most of the company's PS3 accessory lineup.

Sure, we really like the PS3 Slim's brand new-sleek design, but unfortunately some pre-existing PS3 accessories don't play nicely with the console's updated form factor. To fix this, Nyko has revamped most of the company's PS3 accessory lineup for the Slim and improved on the Media Hub in the process.

The Media Hub Slim doubles the system's amount of USB ports to four and adds an SD card reader slot as well. The unit fits snugly under the front left lip of the console and plugs into both of the Slim's existing USB ports. Best of all, the Media Hub Slim adds remote control support, allowing you to navigate Blu-ray and DVD movies. The included credit-card-size remote can't power the Slim on, but it can be used to teach universal remotes its commands. The Media Hub Slim will go for $25 when it's released in April.

New PS3 Slim owners will find out that the console won't stand vertically by itself, so the Nyko Vertical stand can do the trick for $15 in March.

Finally, the company's Intercooler system has been updated to match the PS3 Slim's design and finish. The Intercooler draws power from the PS3 and features two speeds for three fans. Due out in February, the Intercooler Slim will cost $20.
