Microsoft offers Code Red cleanup tool

Microsoft released a software package Thursday to clean up a Code Red worm infestation. The software removes files installed by the worm, reboots the computer to clear the worm from memory, and performs some other actions, Microsoft said. The cleanup program also gives the system administrator the option to permanently disable the Internet Information Server software package the worm uses to spread. Microsoft released a software patch in June that fixes IIS.
