HP, Ericsson finalize outsource deal

Hewlett-Packard has finalized a five-year outsourcing deal with Ericsson for HP to provide global IT services to cell phone maker. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The companies had announced a in April.

HP touted the deal as an example of its new Adaptive Enterprise plan--or the ability to put various HP technologies to work amid a customer's shifting computing needs. IBM has a similar plan called on-demand computing.
